If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to meditate, or you’ve tried meditating and just ‘could not get it to work’, then this short course is for you.
The course will consist of a brief power point presentation explaining all you’ll need to know about how to reach the meditative state, binaural beats for accelerated learning, your own take home guidebook, and many practice sessions with pre and post discussions on how to improve your technique for successful meditation.
Up to three students will be able to choose 3 (90 min) classes that work with their schedule, and private classes are available as well. The cost is $150 for three classes.
What you’ll need for each class:
- Comfortable clothing
- Over the ear headphones (non-noise canceling) if you prefer your own. We provide them as well.
The benefits of meditation are vast. If practiced daily, in my experience, meditation makes every aspect of your life better. It simply enhances your mental, emotional, and physical well-being to the highest possible levels. Medically, the meditative state has been shown by Dr. Herbert Benson M.D. of Harvard University to decrease the activity of the sympathetic nervous system, pausing the fight-or-flight response (stress) and eliciting the relaxation response. This also lowers heart rate and blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen consumption.
Whatever your personal reasons for learning how to reach the meditative state may be, there is a clear and definite path to achieving it. It is not an easy one, but if you endeavor to brave its challenges, you will be rewarded immensely.
